On Thursday, at least one person was killed and more than a dozen injured in the gas explosions which took place in China’s Shenyang city. The explosion took place at a restaurant situated in the capital of Liaoning province, causing severe damage to resources. The video footage which was circulated on social media portrayed windows jerking out of buildings located in the street in which the explosion took place.

According to reports, one person was found dead while 33 were discovered injured by the rescue party. The reports further stated that the cause of the explosion was being investigated and rescue operations were still in progress. In a social media post, the emergency response authority said that the investigators have, “preliminarily determined that the explosion occurred within a commercial and residential building.”

The photos which were shared by the Liaoning emergency services showed workers from the rescue team being encompassed by debris. Earlier, approximately 25 people were killed in a gas explosion that took place in a residential compound situated in China’s Hubei province. Authorities later discovered severe hazards in the gas pipe, ahead of which they detained eight people, including the general manager of the company producing the gas pipe.
