On Thursday, the Cuauhtemoc municipality in Mexico witnessed spine-chilling visuals with 10 corpses being rescued by the police. 9 out of the 10 dead bodies were found hanging from a bridge, whereas the 10th body was recovered from a highway nearby. According to the concerned authorities, the corpses resulted from gang wars.
The dead bodies were recovered from the Zacatecas state of Central Mexico. The local administration has stated that “intense investigation” was in process in order to discover the source of the violent incident. In recent times, criminal gang activities have thrived in Mexico. with groups operating in the Quintana Roo state as well.
On Wednesday, President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador has said that national security personnel will be permanently posted in Cancun and the areas associated with the place. This comes after a set of violent incidents which took place earlier, killing at least two tourists who have been scapegoats of crossfire. The government records have unveiled that nearly 21,495 people have been killed from criminal activities this year.
