On Friday, Union Minister Amit Shah reviewed the various development projects of J&K and emphasized the motto ‘Development with Transparency’ enunciated by PM Modi.

Shah said the Modi government has prioritized the all-round development and warfare of people of J&K. He appreciated the 90% reach of the Union government’s schemes in J&K. The Minister congratulated the Lieutenant Governor and his team for the Covid-19 vaccination drive being 76% in J&K as well as 100% in four districts.

The Home Minister ensured speedy completion of the development package of the Prime Minister including iconic projects and industrial development projects. The Central government directed to ensure the benefits of the refugee package to all the refugees who came from PoJK, West Pakistan, and Kashmir to Jammu at the earliest.

He directed commencing of the 3000MW Pakal Dul and Keeru hydroelectric projects for the smooth functioning of these bodies. Shah asked officials to organise a training programme for members of Panchayati Raj Institutions and Urban Local Bodies.

He also urged the Panchayat members to visit different parts of the country and gather information about the working of developed Panchayats across the country.

The Home Minister emphasized increasing the scope of MGNREGA to employ maximum people and directed usage of modern techniques in agriculture to increase the income level of farmers and to set up at least one agro-based industry in each district.

He encouraged the increase in the quality and density of apple production in J&K. The Union Minister asked the administration to ensure that all farmers are provided the benefit of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Yojana and Kisan Credit Card Yojna. Schemes.

The Home Minister directed the authorities to ensure that all benefits of the industrial policy reach the small-scale industries.
