Today, Home Minister Amit Shah has conveyed his greetings to Invest India for winning the United Nations Investment Promotion Award of UNCTAD 2020.
Shah tweeted, “Kudos to Invest India for winning the UNCTAD’s 2020 United Nations Investment Promotion Award. This remarkable achievement echoes Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s tireless efforts and visionary leadership to make India a preferred investment destination with a focus on ease of doing business.”
For Investment Promotion Agencies, the United Nations Investment Promotion Award is the most desired award. In Geneva, at UNCTAD Headquarters, on 7th December 2020, the award ceremony took place. Across the world, magnificent achievements and best practices of Investment Promotion Agencies (IPAs) are recognized by the award. On the basis of UNCTAD’s assessment of work undertaken by 180 IPAs, the evaluation was made.
Encouraging operations followed by Invest India, such as Exclusive Investment Forum webinar series, the Business Immunity Platform, its social media engagement and aims to COVID-19 response teams like stakeholder and supplier outreach, business reconstruction are created as a retaliation to the pandemic are highlighted by the UNCTAD.
