551,000 earthen diyas i.e. earthen lamps at 28 ghats is lit in Ayodhya in its fourth Deepotsav, plans to set a new Guinness Book of World record on the Saryu coast. A bulk of diyas is lit up at the renovated Ram Ki Paidi ghats. Yogi Adityanath and Governor, Anandiben Patel welcomed Ram and Sita while during the event where there was torrential rain from the helicopter.
Yogi and Anandi Ben Patel performed special poojas. CM Yogi said that for many generations, everyone had the same desire that if we could see the construction work of Lord Sri Rama’s grand temple, then our life and life would be blessed. That work has been successful because of PM Modi. Let us pledge to observe ‘do gaj ki doori, mask hai zaroori’ during this Diwali,” Adityanath said.
He further congratulated Modi that the country and the world are watching through his inspiration, his guidance, his strategy, fulfilling the resolve of five centuries. Adityanath addressing the people said that this celebration of 2020 has come at a time when the whole world is fighting a war against Corona. This year is very important for us.
India is also fighting a battle with Corona along with the world. CM Yogi said that today the concepts of all the schemes including Ram Vanagaman Marg, Ramayana Circuit are being realized. Tourism is being added to the holy shrines through the Krishna Circuit and other schemes, he added.
Yogi said that earlier governments used to prevent Panch Kosi, 84 Kosi circumambulations but today’s government is working for the convenience of the people who join this journey. He added that PM Modi has made the construction of the Ram temple possible even during the epidemic. Eight thousand students from Ram Manohar Lohia Awadh University and colleges have been instructed to create the Guinness World record. Around 300 temples and maths will lit up whereas, at the under-construction Ram Temple, around 21,000 diyas will be lit on Saturday.
There will be only a laser display of firecrackers at Deepotsav, in view of increasing air pollution. Navneet Sehgal, the additional chief secretary said that this year Deepotsav will be digital. A laser show on Lord Ram’s arrival in Ayodhya after 14 years of exile will also be held. Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Maurya and Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma are present in the program. For the three-day event, Governor Anandiben Patel has reached Ayodhya.
