Mumbai:  Cricket fans’ wait is over, BCCI will soon officially announce the IPL 2020 schedule. Currently, BCCI writes a letter to the Union Home Minister, Amit Shah about the approval for IPL (Indian Premier League). After approach BCCI will call for the IPL Governing Council who is officially authorized to take a call on the dates and schedule of the tournament. So far, no dates or any months have been revealed.

Everyone is aware that this year IPL has been postponed due to a pandemic. Instead of May-June, nobody knows when it will start. As per the earlier media reports, BCCI is planning to host the IPL 2020 season in UAE and for that, BCCI needs approvals in place from the department of  Sports Ministry, Ministry of External Affairs, and Home Ministry. However, the clearances from all government departments would take two weeks and post that IPL 2020 can move to UAE.

It has been informed that the date for the IPL Governing Council (GC) meeting can be fixed in the next 24-48 hours, under the chairmanship of Brijesh Patel the IPL GC.
