Today, on the occasion of Guru Nanak Jayanti, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that the government of India has decided to withdraw all three agricultural laws. In the upcoming Parliament Session this month, the Centre will complete the constitutional process to repeal these three farm laws.
At the address to the nation, PM Modi stated, “Today I want to tell everyone that we have decided to repeal all the three agricultural laws.” But PM Modi expressed agony for not being able to explain the sacred and pure things about the laws that would benefit the farmers.
Furthermore, PM Modi has made another announcement in the agricultural sector. This includes the promotion of zero-budget farming i.e. natural farming. This has been decided to keep a pace with the changing requirements of the nation that includes the change in the crop pattern in a scientific manner.
Extending the announcement, PM Modi said that to make MSP more effective and transparent, a committee will be formed to take decisions on all these matters, considering the future. The committee will be consisting of representatives from the Central govt, state governments, farmers, agricultural scientists, and other agricultural economists.
