On Thursday, Congress said that the government is refusing to discuss the Pegasus snooping issue in Parliament as it has “a lot to hide”.

Abhishek Manu Singhvi, Congress spokesperson said, “I am making a proclamation here that today you discuss Pegasus, tomorrow we will discuss everything. Why are you avoiding discussing Pegasus?” Singhvi said that they (the government) are hiding, they have much to hide, and they have no basis for not having a discussion inside the Parliament.

The Congress Spokesperson also added the question they are asking is simple, did the government acquire the Pegasus software? Singhvi said that this question can be only answered in yes or no.

The ongoing Monsoon Session of the Parliament has witnessed many disruptions, protests, and sloganeering as the Opposition has submitted several motions for an adjournment to discuss the snooping issue.

On Thursday, Both Houses of Parliament have adjourned again for the day.

The Opposition is demanding a discussion on the issue in the presence of the Prime Minister and Home Minister and the repeal of the three farm laws that were passed last year.
