  • China condemns external countries for rising tensions.
  • Japan ambassador tweet on opposition against rising tension in the South China Sea.
  • China criticized by the Philippines and U.S. Security threat for Japan

On Wednesday, the Chinese embassy condemned “some external countries” to be liable for the rising tensions in their region, pointing it to be a selfish aim to check China’s revitalization. The statement was in response to a remark by Japan’s ambassador who emphasized in a tweet to the Philippines Koshikawa Kazuhiko about his country’s opposition to any action against rising tension in the South China Sea and supports international efforts of peace and stability.

After Manila said this week about the 220 vessels operated by Chinese maritime militia anchored in disputed wars, the Philippines and United States criticized China. China was asked for the presence of Chinese vessels at Whitsun Reef. China in rescue claimed it to be fishing vessels sheltering from rough seas. The United States was also criticized by China. China in its comment also pitied the Asian countries which are in dispute with the East China Sea and claimed it to be a selfish playful geopolitical game.

The territorial claims of China in the East and the South China Sea are turning out to be a security concern for Japan and a major issue in the Sino-U.S relationship.
