On Thursday, the Delhi Education Minister announced the cancellation of Class 9th and Class 11th examinations. Earlier, the exams were postponed but now stand canceled.
Manish Sisodia directed that those government, private and government-aided schools that have conducted mid-term exams but not the annual exams would promote students based on marks obtained in mid-term. He said that those private schools who have conducted their mid-term and annual exams before lockdown can declare the students’ results.
He discussed the admission process of the students and also presented guidelines for schools to mark students of Class 9th and 11th. The Minister stated the date of release of Delhi government results as of June 22 while students should be able to see the result on websites, SMS, and WhatsApp.
The Education Minister also said that students who could appear for either one or no exams will be getting a chance to appear in exams once again. But the exams won’t be conducted in offline mode while students will be assessed based on assignments and projects.
He also announced that students willing to take admission in Delhi government schools from classes 6-9 can register from June 11-30 while the final selection list will be declared by July and the second phase of registration will be starting from July 23.
