On Monday night, the Delhi police arrested two suspected Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorists. The Delhi Police Special Cell claimed to have thwarted a terror attack in the national capital by arresting these two militants.
Reportedly, the Delhi Police officials informed that they had received information about these two militants. On receiving the information, the police laid a trap near the Millennium Park in Sarah Kale Khan around 10:15 pm on Monday. “Two suspected militants identified as Abdul Latif Mir (22), a native of Baramulla district, and Mohammad Ashraf Khatana (20), a native of Kupwara district, have been arrested by our team,” said an officer.
According to sources, the two suspected terrorists had previously attempted to go to Pak-occupied Kashmir (PoK), which was prevented by the Indian Army. They were planning to escape to PoK via Nepal after the attack in Delhi. Presently, both the suspects are being questioned by the officials.
