‘Distressed By Loss’, Mourns PM Modi Declaring Aid For Deceased’s Kins Of Telangana Road Accident

A massive road accident took place on Sunday in the Kamareddy district of Telangana that killed around nine people and 17 are badly injured. The accident happened as a result of a drastic collision between a truck and a minivan in the Hasanpally region of the district.

Today, PM Narendra Modi mourned the mishap on his social media site and declared an ex-gratia from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF) for the victims of the accident in Kamareddy district, Telangana. According to the PMO statement, a sum of Rs. 2 lakh each from PMNRF would be given to the next of kin of the deceased, and the injured would be given Rs. 50,000.

“Distressed by the loss of lives due to an accident in Kamareddy district, Telangana. Condolences to the bereaved families and prayers with the injured. Rs. 2 lakh each from PMNRF would be given to the next of kin of the deceased. The injured would be given Rs. 50,000”, reads PM Modi’s tweet.
