On Tuesday, Dr Jitendra Singh urged to all eligible employees of 18 years and above to get vaccinated at the earliest. Earlier, the Union Minister appealed to all the eligible employees of 45 years and above to get vaccination dose.

He expressed his satisfaction on organizing of regular camps for vaccination at North Block. The Union Minister of State urged all government officers above 18 to take the benefits after registering on www.cowin.gov.in.

Even after vaccination such government employees must continue to follow COVID-appropriate behaviour like frequent washing of hands/sanitisation, wearing a mask/face cover, observing social distancing etc.

Dr Jitendra Singh drew attention to the recent OM issued on 03.05.2021 that repeated of the earlier order issued on 19.04.2021 in regard to preventive measures to contain the spread of COVID-19.

The instructions/ guidelines will remain in force until 31.05.2021 and further orders. The Union Minister hoped that all the instructions would be followed in letter and spirit in the interest of the well-being of all the citizens and government employees and their families.

He reiterated that official work would not be allowed to suffer and all attempts must be made to minimise the loss from falling sick on account of COVID.

Instructions to the Department of all Chief Secretaries of States and Administrators of UTs have been issued on the model of Department of Personnel Training (DoPT). He said that the government has been monitoring the situation very closely and is reviewing the same from time to time.

He appreciated DoPT for development of Work from Home (WFH) protocol that has been so successful that many a time since the work output was even more than the normal circumstances.
