Mumbai: Rhea Chakraborty on late Shushant Singh Rajput’s investigation issued a statement. She, in the statement, says she believes she will get justice and has immense faith in God and the judiciary. “A lot of horrible things have been said about me in the electronic media, but I will refrain from commenting since the matter is sub judice. Satyamev Jayate. The truth shall prevail”, she added.
She issued this statement regarding to the FIR that has been launched against her and her family on a complaint by Sushant’s father. His father accused Rhea and 6 others including her family members to abet the suicide of his son and transferring huge amounts of money from Sushant, cheating, and conspiracy. Soon a team of Bihar police arrived in Mumbai to investigate the latter. After the FIR launched by her father, she filed a petition in the Supreme Court seeking transfer of the investigation to Mumbai.
Sushant’s father Krishna Kumar Singh lodged the FIR on the basis of the complaint on July 25 under various sections of the Indian penal code including those related to abetment and fraud. Sushant’s family lawyer, Vikas Singh stated that they were unhappy with the probe done by Mumbai Police and hence registered the FIR in Patna. KK Singh even accused Rhea of using his son’s assets for her own career. Ankita Lokhande, Sushant’s ex-girlfriend showed her support to the FIR and claimed there must be some proof regarding the same.
