Whenever we think about India, the vast country of South- Asia, we imagine a triangular shape country with its varied geography. From eternal snow-clad mountains of Himalaya in the north to the tropical cultivated peninsula in the south, from the desert in the west to the wet marshy deltas in the east, from dry hot and cold Central plateaus to the majestic forest foothills, India has an abundance of nature and its lifestyles glorify the geography.

Earlier the Western Countries did not see the Indian culture favourably, but now India attracts a hefty number of travellers and tourists who want to devote their life to Indian spirituality. People in India speak different languages, dress differently, follow different religions, eat different food but they are equally enthusiastic about sports, festivals, and living life co-independently. India always believed in “Unity in Diversity” and thus, the whole community involves bringing liveliness to an occasion or grief in each other`s sorrow. The whole world has an image of India as an upcoming progressive nation but it never loosened its old traditional roots. Ayurveda the distinct form of medicine made purely of herbs and natural weeds is a gem to medical science and it has its origin in India. Ayurveda treatment is the best alternative to western medicine for its multifarious qualities. India is the birthplace of another science- Meditation and Spirituality which helps one to escape from the complexities of life. It is one of the important components of Yoga involving mind-body therapy.

In an overview the Indian culture has several personas like, Language, India has 23 official languages and many people still write in Devanagri which is an ancient language. Sanskrit is an Indo-European language, originated in North India. The main Indian languages are Bengali, Telegu, Marathi, Tamil, and Urdu apart from Hindi. Religion is an integral part of India, and the nation is identified as the birthplace of Hinduism and Buddhism. 84% of people practice Hinduism, 13percent Islam, Christian and Sikh make smaller percentage and there are even fewer Buddhists and Jains. Food, India has different delicacies in every state and its cuisine is influenced by many other countries also. Wheat, Rice, and Pulses are important staples of the Indian Diet. Many people are vegetarian, but lamb and chicken are common in many dishes for non-vegetarians. Architecture, the most famous monument is the Taj Mahal built by the Mughal Empire for his wife. It combines elements from Islamic, Persian, Ottoman Turkish and Indian architectural styles. Clothing, Indians were colourful sarees, kurtas, turbans, dhotis, and many other types of clothing depending on the culture of the state.
