Imran Khan is expected in Sri Lanka for a two-day state visit. To reach Sri Lanka, Imran Khan needs to use India air space for reaching Sri Lanka. Indian Government approved Imran Khan’s aircraft to use its airspace and reach Sri Lanka.
The approval was given in contradiction to Pakistan’s statement in 2018 when it denied airspace approval to Prime Minister Narendra Modi`s aircraft which needed to travel to the United States in September and Saudi Arabia in October. Noting the incident, the Ministry of External Affairs criticized the whole scenario and stated that Pakistan is hindering international peace.
