India Logs 3,275 Fresh COVID-19 Cases; Reports 55 Deaths In 24 Hours

On Thursday, the Union Health Ministry noted that India has registered 3,275 fresh COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours. The active cases currently stand at 19,719, accounting for 0.05% of the country’s total COVID positive cases.

As per the ministry, the weekly positivity rate stands at 0.78% and the daily positivity rate is at 0.77%. Nearly, 55 deaths were logged from the virus in the past 24 hours. In addition, 3,010 people recovered from COVID-19, pushing the cumulative tally of recovered individuals to 4,25,47,699. The country’s recovery rate stands at 98.74%.

Around 4,23,430 COVID-19 tests were carried out in the past 24 hours. Altogether 83.93 crore tests have been conducted in the country. The country’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has surpassed 189.63 crores, achieved through 2,34,93,473 sessions. Over 2.97 crore beneficiaries between 12-14 years of age group have been inoculated with the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccines.
