On Monday, India surpassed the landmark of 86 Cr (nearly 86,01,59,011) vaccination, as per provisional reports. This has been met through 84,07,679 sessions. In the last 24 hours, the country administered around 38,18,362 vaccine doses.
According to reports, around 1,03,71,418 health care workers received the first dose of vaccine and 88,35,377, the second dose. Around 1,83,49,453 front-line workers are administered with the first dose and 1,48,33,709, the second dose.
34,82,66,215 and 7,45,08,007 Individuals who fall under the age group of 18-44 years are inoculated with the first dose and second dose respectively. Nearly 15,64,81,731 individuals, between 45-59 years of age have received the first dose of vaccine and 7,39,69,804, the second dose. 9,97,47,469 and 5,47,95,828 individuals above 60 years of age are inoculated with the first dose and second dose of the vaccine respectively.
The recovery of 29,621 patients in the past 24 hours has surged the cumulative tally of recovered patients to 3,29,31,972 in the country. Successively, India’s recovery rate reached 97.78 percent. The recovery rate at present is at its highest peak since March 2020. Meanwhile, the country is recording less than 50,000 daily cases for 92 consecutive days. 26,041 new cases were registered in the past 24 hours.
At present, the active cases stand at 2,99,620 and constitute 0.89 percent of India’s total positive cases. The testing capacity across the country continues to be stretched. In the past 24 hours, around 11,65,006 tests were conducted. As yet, India has carried out more than 56.44 Cr (56,44,08,251) cumulative tests.
The Weekly Positivity rate at 1.94 percent remains below 3 percent for 94 consecutive days. The Daily positivity rate is recorded at 2.24 percent. The daily positivity rate is less than 3 percent for 28 days and less than 5 percent for 111 consecutive days.
