On Saturday, the Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar confirmed through Twitter that he has tested positive for coronavirus. Tendulkar witnessed mild symptoms and the doctors advised him to quarantine himself at home.
Sachin tweeted, “I have been testing myself and taking all the recommended precautions to ensure Covid is kept at-bat. However, I’ve tested positive today following mild symptoms. I’ve quarantined myself at home and am following all necessary protocols as advised by my doctors.”
Thanking the healthcare professionals for the constant support, Tendulkar informed that at his home, all others have tested negative.
Sachin is the only cricketer who has played 200 Test matches and scored 100 international centuries which comprises 49 in ODIs and 51 in Tests. Tendulkar also holds the record for scoring most runs in ODIs and Tests. Sachin has scored 18426 runs in 463 ODIs at an average of 44.83 while in 200 Tests, he grabbed 15921 runs at an average of 53.79.
