Today, the Indian Navy announced that it has seized 300 kg of narcotics from a fishing vessel in the Arabian Sea. The estimated value of the narcotics stood at approximately Rs. 3,000 crore.

Addressing the media, the officials mentioned that it was recovered by INS Suvarna. Reportedly, INS Suvarna was on patrolling duty in the Arabian Sea. They further outlined that Suvarna had encountered a fishing vessel with suspicious movements.

On noticing the fishing vessel with unusual movement, the team members of INS Suvarna decided to investigate the vessel. After conducting a search operation, the team seized over 300 Kgs of narcotics substances. Currently, for further investigation, the boat along with the area has been escorted to the nearest port of Kochi in Kerala.
