The cumulative number of covid19 vaccine doses administered in the country has crossed the mark of 9.80 crores on Saturday. India continues to be on the top of the ladder in administrating maximum doses in a day with an average of 38,93,288 vaccines given on a day.
9,80,75,160 vaccine doses were administered through 14,75,410 sessions, as per the last reports until 7 am today. The figures include 89,88,373 Health Care Workers who were given the first dose and 54,79,821 Health Care Workers who were given the second dose. Also, 98,67,330 Front line workers took the first dose and 46,59,035 Front line workers finished with their vaccination process after taking the second dose.
3,86,53,105 Beneficiaries which consist of citizens over 60 years of age and citizens of 45 years of age with comorbidities were given the first dose. 15,90,388 beneficiaries received the second dose as well.
During the third phase, 2,82,55,044 first doses of the vaccines were administered which consists of beneficiaries aged between 45 to 60 and 5,82,064 second doses were given under the same category.
10 states show a rise in the number of daily cases. Namely, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Rajasthan. These states have reported showing a rise of 82.82% in new cases.
10 districts consisting of Pune, Mumbai, Thane, Nagpur, Urban Bangaluru, Nashik, Delhi, Raipur, Durg and Aurangabad collectively account for 46% of active cases in the whole country.
