Indian Premier League tournament for 2021 is around the corner and the auction for it has been conducted today at Chennai. Kings XI Punjab had the biggest pursue in the auction along with Royal Challengers Bangalore. Reportedly, Chennai Super Kings will come up with a new formation. Rajasthan Royals made the biggest bid of Rs. 16.25 crore for South African player Chris Moris, RCB on the other hand booked hit machine, Maxwell at Rs 14.25 crore. 

IPL 2021 will witness the participation of 292 cricketers which includes 164 Indian players and 125 overseas. The auction started off with its pace when former Rajasthan Royals skipper Steve Smith was sold to Delhi Capitals for Rs. 2.2 Crore. Royal Challengers Bangalore bought Glenn Maxwell for Rs. 14.25 Crore after an intense bidding session with Chennai Super Kings. New Zealand paceman, Kyle Jamieson was booked by Royal Challengers Bangalore with Rs 15 Crore.

Chennai Super Kings paid Rs. 9.25 Crore for an all-rounder and spin bowler K Gowtham. Kolkata Knight Riders booked Bangladesh`s star player- Shakib Al Hassan for 3.2 Crore. The auction was over with the name of Arjun Tendulkar who will officially be trained by his father and legendary player Sachin Tendulkar under Mumbai Indians camp. CSK bought Cheteshwar Pujara for Rs 50 lakhs
