New Delhi: India receives huge support from Israel in the fight against COVID-19. The scientists from Israel developed four technologies for detecting COVID-19 in 30 seconds. The evaluation of these Israel-based technologies is being done at the Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) Hospital in New Delhi, India.

The new detection of technologies is held in the presence of Israeli Ambassador to India, Ron Malka and Principal Scientific Advisor of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Professor Vijay Raghavan. The diagnostics are undergoing several testing by the Israel Defence R&D, the DRDO and CSIR. Researchers said that if the evaluation becomes successful then the technologies will help to open the businesses safely and people will also start living with the virus till the vaccine comes into effect.

It has been further conversant that nearly 10,000 people will be tested twice; with gold standard molecular RT-PCR tests. In this new technology, people will have to blow or speak in front of the breathalyzer which will help to collect the sample for testing. After RT-PCR tests, the next emergence known as an isothermal test, strengthens the inherited material of the virus quickly. The next loom approach detects what is called poly amino acids specific to the virus and the last approach is to study speech samples from asymptomatic and pre-symptomatic patients. These testing approaches are functioning well in the laboratory setting, but the challenge is to see how they will work in a field setting.

On the other hand, Professor VijayRaghavan informed what was yesterday considered obscure research is now being tested for implementation. Such hearty tests are the touchstone of science.
