Today, at the International space conference and exhibition, the Chairman of ISRO, K. Sivan addressed the venture of the various space sector start-up companies of India into this field. They will arrive for manufacturing rockets, satellites, and others for which the Government of India will come up with a policy.
The policy will be in regard to the launching vehicles and rockets, space explorations along with a comprehensive Space Act, said K. Sivan. He also added that with this reform and law, the insurance sector will also, enter into this significant field.
Briefing about the policies, K. Sivan said that there are several reforms in the process that will welcome the private sector to open up in the space sector under the umbrella of govt’s legal and policy framework.
He also informed that the government will bring a new launch vehicle policy along with space exploration policy that will be added with the present Satellite Communication Policy and Remote Sensing Data Policy that is being amended for more transparency.
Supporting the govt’s policies, ISRO Chairman expressed gratitude for GoI for paving a way for a wide range of innovation, research and product development by opening the door of space activities for the MSMEs that will encourage them as well as boost-up the space functions.
Today’s conference was organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) together with ISRO, Antrix Corporation Limited and was supported by NewSpace India Limited (NSIL).
