On Saturday, Pakistan again violated the ceasefire and the Line of Control in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, for which one army jawan was martyred, said the officials. About 1 am, in the Lam area of the Nowshera section, this unreasonable firing starts from across the border.
According to the officials, the army jawan Havaldar Patil Sangram Shivaji was injured severely by the firing and later he died. The Indian Army took retribution against the baseless firing. The official added, cross-border firing between the two sides continued for quite some time.
Before a week Pakistan turned to unprovoked ceasefire violations on various sectors through LOC in J&K, the latest ceasefire violation took place, for which four civilians were killed and some others were harmed.
After one day, apparently, six to seven Pakistani soldiers were killed and several others were damaged because of retributive disciplinary fire strikes against posts, bunkers and fuel dumps over the LOC in Kashmir, directed by the Indian army. In the heavy war of that cross-border firing, including a woman, five Indian soldiers and four civilians also lost their lives.
