Today, the BJP leader Prakash Javadekar slammed both the TMC-led Bengal government and the AAP-led Delhi government over its failure to provide the details of the kids orphaned due to COVID-19. Taking to his Twitter, he mentioned that both the governments had been reprimanded by the Supreme Court for not providing the correct details of the orphaned kids due to COVID-19.
Shah claimed that the information for the same was not even uploaded on the ‘Bal Swaraj Portal’. He questioned, “What do you need a bigger mirror than this Kejriwal and Mamata?”
Following the thread of criticism, the Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan also slammed Mamata Banerjee. Using the term ‘Didi’ which according to him is a symbol of love, affection, and sacrifice has been termed as rather ‘Cruel’. He criticized and highlighted that ‘Dirty Politics with children is not good.
Furthermore, the TMC-Supremo has been questioned about what she wanted to prove by not following the orders of the apex court and uploading the details on the portal of the National Child Protection Commission. He tweeted and asked, “Is Mamata Didi above the Supreme Court?”
Previously on Monday, the SC had pulled up the Delhi and West Bengal governments for failing to provide data about children orphaned since March last year. Responding to the hearing, the Counsel for West Bengal claimed that the data could not be submitted due to the confusion over the ‘six stages’ mentioned in the web portal of NCPCR.
