New Delhi: Yesterday, the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Trivendra Singh Rawat held a meeting with Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad members at his residence in Dehradun. This meeting was held for the discussion of a traditional event called ”Mahakumbh Mela”. As per the reports, the final decision to be taken next year in February 2021. However, no specific dates have been revealed so far.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister’s said in his office that In view of the religious significance of ‘Mahakumbh Mela 2021, the event will be held as scheduled but while keeping mind the situation and scenarios around the country. Markedly, in view of the coronavirus pandemic, it has already been announced that this year Kanwar Yatra won’t be taking place. As remember last week, the Supreme Court put on stay on Puri’s famous Jagannath Rath Yatra. Reportedly, Uttarakhand’s COVID-19 cases reached 2,344 with 20 fresh new cases.
