Mumbai: Uddhav Thackeray, Maharashtra Chief Minister in a statement regarding Shushant Singh’s ongoing probe for his sudden death stated that the Mumbai police are capable enough to handle the case. The transfer of the inquiry will be very offending as they have been fighting against the coronavirus pandemic simultaneously like a warrior, he added. He even stated that no one should be engaging in politics in this case.
Criticizing the leader Devendra Fadnavis of the opposition party in the legislative assembly he said that Devendra should be shameful in accusing Mumbai police of their incapability despite serving as the chief minister of the state for his term period. Thackeray stated that in these difficult times people should trust them and pass on whatever information they have linked to the case so that they can work this efficiently.
Despite having a tremendous increasing demand for a CBI probe into Sushant’s case, the Maharashtra government claimed that the state police are competent enough to go deep into the case and find the truth. Sushant’s body was found in his apartment in Bandra, where the police claimed that he has committed suicide.
But after his fathers’ FIR against his alleged girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty and her family members including 6 others for abetting his son’s suicide, a team of Bihar police immediately went to Mumbai for a detailed probe in this case. The Enforcement Directorate filed a money laundering case against Rhea and her family accusing of cheating and conspiracy. The case was filed on the basis of a First Information Report filed by the Bihar police in Patna.
