West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said on Monday that the request for recounting of votes was not complied with as the Nandigram RO is scared for his life.
Yet another fiasco of the Bengal election Assembly has started with Mamata Banerjee being defeated in the Nandigram constituency by Suvendu Adhikary by a narrow margin.
While speaking in a press meet, Banerjee confirmed that she will appeal to the judiciary over the election result in the constituency where she lost narrowly to BJP Suvendu Adhikary.
Banerjee revealed purported SMS from the RO to an official of the state’s Cheif Electoral Officer, where he confessed that he could fave consequences if he ordered recounting. In the message, he also said, that he might have to commit suicide.
Mamata Banerjee said, “How can EC reverse Nandigram result after formally announcing it? We will move to court against this.”
