In an open letter to the healthcare workers and police officials in the state, West Bengal CM, Mamata Banerjee ahead of the nationwide vaccination drive that is going to start from 16th January, announced free Covid vaccine to all the citizens in the state.

She added that the government is making all the necessary arrangements to provide free vaccines for the novel coronavirus. She said, “I am happy to announce that our government is making arrangements to facilitate the administration of COVID19 vaccine to all the people of the state without any cost.”

Banerjee in her letter said, thanked the frontline workers for their constant help throughout the pandemic. Reportedly, the Mamata Banerjee-led government shows their confidence in accomplishing the target. It also asserted the fact that the mass vaccination will take some time, but assured that everyone will be vaccinated.
