Ayodhya: Today, people across the globe celebrated the glorious event of the establishment of the Ram Mandir. Indians in the USA also celebrated the foundation of Ayodhya’s Ram Temple by gathering outside the Capitol Hill in Washington for the celebration. The people wore saffron clothes and held saffron flags to celebrate the grand occasion.
People in India are celebrating this iconic day as Deepak Utsav by lighting diyas in front of their houses. Diwali came early at the residence of CM Yogi Adityanath. He is celebrating the glorious day by bursting car keys and lighting earthen lamps and candles. He also made a flower rangoli with Jai Shri Ram written on them welcomed people at the entrance gate. The BJP MLA Raja Singh distributed one lakh laddoos and also burst crackers to celebrate the occasion.
On Monday the three-day Vedic rituals had begun at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya which ended with the Bhoomi Pujan today. Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the base of the Ram Mandir. He referred to the Bhoomi Pujan event as an emotional moment for the entire country. It is said to be constructed before the 2024 Lok Sabha Election.
Among the 175 people present along with Modi, the Chief Minister of UP Yogi Adityanath, the RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat and several others were present. In his speech, Modi expressed his joy by stating that he was fortunate enough to be a part of the event which marks the glorious history of India. He further said that with the construction of the temple not only history was being made but it was being repeated.
Every devotee’s heart is illuminated. He believed that the grand temple built in Ayodhya would be the modern symbol of tradition which would reflect the rich heritage of Indian culture and will inspire the entire humanity till eternity. He concluded his speech by stating that from India to Nepal, from Sri Lanka to Malaysia every country has it’s own Ramayana.
CM Yogi Adityanath praised PM Narendra Modi and said that under the leadership of Modi the power of India’s democratic values and it’s judiciary has shown the world how matters can be solved peacefully, democratically and constitutionally. He said that it took a prolonged struggle and a wait of 500 years for the event to materialize.
The RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat said that it took them 30 years of hard work for this particular day. He also condemns that there many individuals who were not able to be present in the event physically due to some reason or the other. He added that this event marked the new beginning of a new India.
Modi congratulated the nation on the bhoomi pujan. He said that today that devotees across the globe are celebrating this day which marks the historic day of India. Eight priests from Ayodhya, five each from Varanasi and Delhi, and three from Kamikochi in Tamil Nadu performed the rituals at the bhoomi pujan. Soils from more than 2000 pilgrimage sites and water from more than 100 rivers were brought for the rituals.
