On Thursday, Union Minister for Minority Affairs, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi stated that in order to curb and crush rumors and apprehensions spread about the coronavirus vaccination drive being conducted in India, a nationwide campaign would be launched by social and educational institutions.
Abbas Naqvi added that State Haj Committees, Waqf Boards, their associated organizations, Central Waqf Council, Maulana Azad Education Foundation, and other social and educational institutions will be part of the campaign. He stated that Women’s Self Help Groups will also be a part included in the campaign and in an organization as well as the women SHG would encourage and influence the people to get vaccinated for tackling the Corona pandemic. The campaign is named “Jaan Hai To Jahaan Hai” which will be launched especially for villages and remote areas of the country.
He chaired a review meeting about Haj 2021 at the Haj House in Mumbai. The Minister asserted that India would go by the decision of the Government of Saudi Arabia with prioritizing the health and well-being of people of both nations and also of humanity.
The Minister highlighted that during his visit to some villages, he found that some narrow-minded elements have created confusion and fear on the vaccination front. He termed them not only enemies of the health and well-being of the people but also of the country.
Naqvi ensured that confusion and fear of vaccination get solved so that everyone is jabbed and they encourage others to also do the same. He assured of no vaccine shortage or any other essential requirement in the country.
