Today, Punjab Congress Chief Navjot Singh Sidhu said that he will go on a hunger strike against the state government. He announced that he will take the stern step if the Congress government does not make public the reports on the drug menace and the sacrilege incident.

This is something not new in the state as Sidhu always accused the government, be it Amarinder Singh or, Charanjit Singh Channi. With just a few months left for the upcoming election, Sidhu has become more active on social media. On a regular basis, he is continuously tweeting about the policies that he catalyzed.

In another controversy, he proposed a new law to recover stolen state taxes from Fastway, a cable TV company, by taking control over computers and data hidden by the company. However, Captain Amarinder Singh had stalled his proposal.

Meanwhile, as Charanjit Singh Channi became the Chief Minister, Sidhu resigned from the post of the Punjab Congress Chief as he was unhappy with some of the appointments. After several rounds of negotiations, Sidhu had agreed to continue in his post as Channi took a step back.
