On Wednesday, demonstrators outside the New York administration office were demanding the resignation of Governor Andrew Cuomo, when a third woman came forward and accused Cuomo of sexual harassment.

The Governor has been facing heat over alleged underreporting of Covid19 demise in New York Nursing Homes. On Monday, Cuomo had referred himself for investigation over sexual misconduct allegations by two ex-aides. The Governor while defending himself from the allegations stated, “I was trying to be a mentor to her. I never made advances toward Ms. Bennett nor did I ever intend to act in any inappropriate way.”

Anna Ruch, another woman, came forward to alleged Cuomo had attempted to harass her as she pushed away during a wedding in September 2018. Ruch said the Governor of New York asked her whether he could kiss her. She added that the incident had left her confused, shocked, and embarrassed.

In the middle of the sexual assault charges, Democrats and Republicans had called for Governor Cuomo’s resignation. The Governor denied allegations of physical touch while apologizing if any of his remarks or behavior was interpreted as flirtatious. On the other hand, a criminal defense lawyer Elkan Abramowitz has been hired by Cuomo to represent his office into the state’s misreporting of coronavirus deaths among nursing home residents.
