Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a meeting virtually with the Chief Ministers to discuss the situation of Covid in India. Regarding Vaccine, PM said whenever it is out, it has to be ensured that it reaches everyone smoothly and systematically. The pandemic is not going to end sooner and the Centre and States have to coordinate together and plan out ways to distribute the vaccine.

In the meeting, he urged all the Chief Ministers to suggest recommendations in written format so that it becomes easy to plan out a strategic plan to deal with the pandemic. Modi also said, “No one can impose any view and all have to work together.” Moreover, he cautioned an alarm against any leniency in controlling the pandemic and asked to focus on reducing the positive rate to at least 5%.

The meeting was attended by the Chief Ministers of the eight worst-hit states – West Bengal, Delhi, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Kerala, Haryana, and Chhattisgarh to review the situation, discuss the cause for the increase of cases and counter-measures planned to stem virus growth.

He further said that whatever decision was taken earlier, referring to the lockdown, the time was utilized carefully to make arrangements and for educating people about it. Earlier, people were scared and a tense situation was there but now people have learned to live with it and if they have been affected by it then they themselves self-isolate, added PM Modi. The entire world though India will not be able to handle the situation but not only did India prove wrong but also is bringing improvement day by day in recovery and fatality rate.
