The National Resistance Force (NRF) is engaged in a tussle with the Taliban, in an attempt to overthrow the extremists from power. It has been almost five months since the Taliban claimed the reins in Afghanistan. The NRF has delivered a video message, which has surfaced on social media, urging the people of Afghanistan to not be silent.

In another audio message, NRF leader Ahmad Massoud noted that their struggle is not for a specific ethnic group, or geography but for the complete independence of Afghanistan. Some pictures shared on social media portray that the NRF fighters now have the anti-tank guided missiles (ATGM) to vandalize the Taliban vehicle. Reports claim that the missiles are guided with advanced targeting systems which chase the target until the effect.

On the other hand, a Taliban spokesperson debunked allegations of female activist Tamana Paryani, who claimed that Taliban fighters entered her home in Kabul and arrested her. The spokesperson, Suhail Shaheen remarked to a media outlet that the activist made the video to find asylum abroad and that there was no incident like this.

In the video, shared on social media, minutes before the raid, the activist appeared frightened and breathless and shouted for help. Eyewitness too claimed that a 10-armed man, introduced to be from the Taliban intelligence department, thrashed into Paryani’s apartment and arrested the activists and her three sisters. To refute the Paryana-led protest, the extremist group conducted a women’s “protest” in Kabul in favor of burqa/hijab.

In addition, Taliban leaders also slammed Pakistan’s PM Imran Khan, mentioning that he is a puppet of the ISI. The spokesperson voiced, “Such a government is trying to provoke the nationalist Afghans against the Islamic Emirates. This is one of their objectives.” He added that Pakistan will crumble soon and it will be on the FATF blacklist.
