Today, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi took his social media site to throw a fresh attack on the Modi-led central government by sharing a comparison of LPG prices under Congress and BJP governments. He stated, “Only Congress governs for the welfare of poor & middle-class Indian families. It’s the core of our economic policy.”
This comes as the price of domestic liquified petroleum gas (LPG) has been increased by Rs 50, which paves a chance for the Congress party and others to point out the severity of the matter. Former Congress Chief also made a comparison in the prices of cylinders and their subsidies. He said that in 2014 under the UPA govt, the rate of LPG was Rs 410 with a subsidy of Rs 827 and now in 2022, it rises to Rs 999 with no subsidy.
Meanwhile, he further highlighted, “2 cylinders then for the price of 1 now!” Rahul Gandhi along with other senior party leaders are continuously targetting the union government in the wake of the hike in LPG prices that is increased by 2.5 times and thus demanded to work to reduce the price of it as much close as the govt can for the sake of poor and middle-class.
