Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said that the countrywide National Polio Immunization Drive was conducted successfully on the third day today. While the COVID-19 vaccination program was conducted successfully on the eighteenth today. Till today, 11.04 crore children under five years across India are vaccinated for Polio.
More than 41 lakh Healthcare Workers Vaccinated across the country against Covid-19 on February 2. Over the next two to five days children who missed getting vaccinated at the booths will be identified by house-to-house surveillance. On 30th January 2021, President Kovind had launched the National Polio Immunisation Day for 2021.
As per the provisional report, two states, Gujarat and West Bengal initiated the vaccination of frontline workers today. 19,902 frontline workers have been vaccinated till 7 pm today. A cumulative total of 41,20,741 beneficiaries are vaccinated through 76,516 sessions. More than, 1,70,585 beneficiaries were vaccinated through 3,785 sessions were held till 7 pm today. The report said that till today 106 AEFIs have been reported of the vaccination drive.
