Addressing the first public rally of the Democratic Movement of Pakistan (PDM), via video link from London in the newly formed United Opposition Alliance, Gujranwala, Former PM Nawaz Sharif charged on Army Chief General Qamar Bajwa and Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Chief Lt. Gen. Faiz Accused Hameed. He said, “Pakistan Military And ISI Established a ‘Puppet Govt’ Of Imran Khan”.
In this, he has talked about rigging the elections, ousting his government, mocking the media, pressuring the judiciary, and hunting the opposition politicians. He also blamed that the country’s army chief General Qamar Bajwa was responsible for toppling his government and establishing Imran Khan as Prime Minister.
The PDM’s inaugural rally was attended by several opposition leaders. Sharif’s speeches were not covered by most TV news channels due to restrictions imposed by the country’s broadcasting regulator, prohibiting the transmission of speeches, statements, and interviews that were announced and absconding. But the ban did not stop thousands of people from attending the PDM rally. It is estimated that the number of people involved was around 20,000.
Sharif addressing Bajwa in his speech said, “It is all your business.” We are seeing unemployment, unprecedented inflation. The price of one roti is now ten rupees and the prices of medicine have reached new heights. People are unable to pay their electricity bills. “
Sharif said, “Call me a traitor, call me a rebel, make me a convict, give me the label of a fugitive.” File false cases against me, but Nawaz Sharif will continue to speak for his people of Pakistan. “
