On Tuesday, over 100 people are said to be injured and 7 people killed near a seminary in Pakistan’s Peshawar.The powerful bomb blast is said to have killed seven according to statements from police and hospital spokesman.

Police officer Waqar Azim said the blast took place at a time when a cleric was delivering a lecture about the teachings of Islam at the main hall of the Jamia Zubairia Madrassa. He further added that the blast took place minutes after a person had left a bag at the Madrassa. The cause of the explosion in Peshawar’s Dir Colony is yet unknown.

The deceased and injured have been taken to Lady Reading Hospital. Several injured are said to be in a critical condition and hospital authorities fear the death toll to rise. The attack came two days after the attack in southwestern city of Quetta.
