The award-winning duo of ‘Piku’, Amitabh Bachchan, and Deepika Padukone are set to grace the silver screen once again in an Indian adaptation of the Hollywood film “The Intern”.  Both the actors took to their respective Instagram accounts to reveal the news.

The initial “The Intern” is a buddy comedy-drama, written, produced, and directed by Nancy Meyers, starring Robert De Niro and Anne Hathaway.

The story is about an unusual friendship struck between a seventy-year-old widower, portrayed by Robert De Niro who is getting back to work as an intern at an online fashion site, and his workaholic boss played by the Academy award-winning Anne Hathaway.

The Indian adaptation of the same is going to be released in the summer of 2022 co-produced by Warner Brothers and Deepika Padukone’s Ka Productions. The adapted screenplay and dialogues will be written by Akshat Ghildial and Mitesh Shah.

Soon after the news of the reunion of Amitabh-Deepika aired, the netizens got very excited to again experience the magic that they created in Piku and will surely give one more everlasting movie. Although, fans are missing the third important part of the movie Piku, i.e. Irfan Khan, who will be no more seen in the upcoming movie.
