On Tuesday, PM Narendra Modi expressed deep condolence to the demise of Lok Sabha MP, Nand Kumar Singh Chauhan. Praising the MP’s efforts to expand the party across Madhya Pradesh, the PM tweeted, “Saddened by the demise of Lok Sabha MP from Khandwa, Nandkumar Singh Chauhan. He’ll be remembered for his contributions to Parliamentary proceedings, organizational skills, and efforts to strengthen BJP across Madhya Pradesh. Condolences to his family.”
Over Chauhan’s death, the Union Home Minister Amit Shah also expressed his condolence and stated that in Madhya Pradesh, he played a significant role in the expansion of the BJP. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also took Twitter and expressed grief over the senior BJP leader’s death. Apart from the above-mentioned ministers, BJP President JP Nadda, Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla, etc condoled over the painful news of the death of Chauhan.
On Monday night, Nand Kumar Singh Chauhan passed away in Gurugram’s Medanta Hospital. He had tested positive for COVID-19 and was undergoing treatment at the hospital.
