Today, PM Narendra Modi got his second jab of Covid-19 vaccine at AIIMS, Delhi. He received his first jab 37 days ago on 1st March when the countrywide vaccination extended to people above 60 and those over 45 with other illnesses.
For all those who are eligible for vaccination, PM Modi urged them to get the vaccine against the deadly viral disease. He took his social media site and said, “If you are eligible for the vaccine, get your shot soon.”
Posting a picture after receiving the shot, Modi said, “Got my second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at AIIMS today. Vaccination is among the few ways we have to defeat the virus.” He also shared a link to the vaccination registration portal, the CoWin website.
Unlike the previous time, the PM was seen wearing a face mask this time while taking the shot. He has taken India’s homegrown, Hyderabad-based Bharat Biotech developed Covid-19 vaccine, Covaxin.
P Niveda from Puducherry and Nisha Sharma from Punjab were the two nurses who vaccinated the PM today. P Niveda was also there in administering Modi the first dose.
