- The all party meet is likely to take place on Sunday
- The PM’s visit to the meeting comes during the Winter Session of The Parliament which will start on Nov 29
- The Winter session at this hour becomes crucial in light of the withdrawal of the three controversial farm laws
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to attend an all party meeting which will be organized on Sunday. The Winter Session of Parliament will begin on November 29 and will be extended till December 23. A message conveyed by the Lok Sabha stated, “The Seventh Session of Seventeenth Lok Sabha will commence on Monday, the 29th November, 2021. Subject to exigencies of Government Business, the Session is likely to conclude on Thursday, December 23, 2021.”
In light of the ongoing farmer’s protests going on in India, the Winter Session plays a significant role, especially in terms of withdrawing the three farm laws. The Prime Minister has made an official announcement last week in which he has stated that the government has decided to repeal the three controversial laws. However, the protesting farmers refuse to end up until the announcement receives a legal nod and MSP is guaranteed. The Monsoon Session of the Parliament ended up in great hustle because of the opposition parties protesting over a range of issues including the Pegasus controversy and the farm laws.
