Filmmaker, Priyadarshan has denied all rumors surrounding his newest directorial film Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham getting a direct-to-OTT release. The director clarified that the film was reportedly made on a humongous budget of over Rs. 100 Crore, and will only release in the theatres.

Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham, stars Mohanlal as the lead hero. The film was supposed to hit screens last March but due to Pnademic’s unpredictable nature, the release has been postponed for an indefinite period.

In an interview, Priyadarshan said Marakkar will only come out in theatres, even if it gets delayed by six months. “With such huge stakes involved, we’re concerned about our product which we painstakingly built, but we are in no hurry to release the film. We’ll take a call when the world returns to normalcy”, told Priyadarshan adding that his team and he are looking forward to the release of the film in December or the early periods of the coming year.

Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham, is produced by Anthony Perumbavoor, also stars Arjun, Suneil Shetty, Keerthy Suresh, Manju Warrier, and Siddique in some of the major characters. The film will be released in four languages Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi.
