Today, Congress general Secretary, Priyanka Gandhi takes a jibe on the BJP-led central government and said that the Centre is not at all interested in the farmers’ are facing over the contentious farm laws.
She slammed the government saying that its policies are only designed to benefit the rich. She added that PM Modi is yet to meet the three lakh agitating farmers’ and end the impasse who have been protesting at the capital for more than two months now. She noted that the farmers’ are barely 5kms away from where the PM stays, but he did not meet them.
Gandhi said that this protest can only end when there is discussion and if the farmers’ are asking something for their benefit, the Centre should make necessary changes. She further claims that Modi Ji only made these policies for the rich and powerful and not for the common people.
During her two-day visit to Assam Gandhi discussed the issues they are facing and highlighted the problems of price rise, housing, and lack of toilet facilities in the gardens.
