Today, amid the political turmoil in Punjab, the former Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh reached the doorsteps of Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Reports disclosed that Singh has already reached the residence of Amit Shah in Delhi.
The meeting between Amarinder Singh and Amit Shah began at 6 pm and lasted for an hour. Previously, there were several rumors that Singh is likely to meet the BJP officials. However, he had cleared the air and said that he was in New Delhi to vacate Kapurthala House, his Delhi residence. He also said no political meeting was scheduled in Delhi.
Earlier, on receiving the news of Sidhu’s resignation from the post of the Punjab Congress, Amarinder had mocked and said that Sidhu was ‘not a stable man’. Resigning from his post, Amarinder had outlined that he ‘felt humiliated’.
Meanwhile, Punjab chief minister Charanjit Singh Channi informed that he is looking to solve the situation in the state party unit by discussing the points of differences with Sidhu. The Punjab crisis has also got veteran Congress leader Kapil Sibal talking about the crisis in the party.
