Quoting Mahatma Gandhi, former Congress leader Rahul Gandhi slammed the Modi Government over the three controversial farm laws. Gandhi tweeted in Hindi, “You can move the world in a polite way. – Mahatma Gandhi. Once again, there is an appeal to the Modi government to immediately withdraw the anti-agricultural law.”
Today, Gandhi once again urged the Centre to repeal the three farm laws to end the deadlock of the farmers that are being taken place for the last two months. Rahul Gandhi became the first politician to comment on the violence of the Capital. On Tuesday, Gandhi said that to any crisis, violence is not a solution rather repulsion of the laws is the solution.
From the beginning, Gandhi has been supporting the protesting farmers and after the violence broke out in Delhi on Tuesday, he slammed the ‘violence’ without getting into the matter of which side is responsible for the violence as he tweeted, “Violence is not the solution to any problem. If anyone gets hurt, the damage will happen to our country. Take back the anti-agricultural law for the benefit of the country!”
On 72nd Republic Day of India, the protesting farmers took out their pre-planned tractor march but when a farmer group reached ITO and Red Fort and put up their flags, a violent clash broke out between the police and the farmers.
