MATHURA Shree Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust Chairman Mahant Nritya Gopal Das has tested positive for COVID-19. Uttar Pradesh Government took details of Mahant Gopal Das health status. This announcement was made by Champat Rai, who was designated, Secretary-General of the trust.
“Mahant Nritya Gopal Das Ji’s condition is stable, he is being shifted to Medanta Hospital,” said Mathura district magistrate SR Mishra. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed the district to provide all possible support. “We are trying to do our best in his case, we wish he will have a speedy recovery”.
Mahant Nritya Gopal Das was present at the Bhoomi Pujan ceremony of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on August 5 and shared the stage with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. According to sources, there is a minimum of 100 people present at the ceremony. The health department is worried about the health status of attended guests.
Mahant Nritya Das is involved to build many temples in Ayodhya. Some of these include Ramayana Bhavan, Sri Rangnath temple, Shri Char Dham Temple. For decades he has been actively associated with the movement for Ram Janmabhoomi Temple. In 2003, he turned over as Chairman of this movement.
