The eclipse was partially visible in the areas of the United States, and Russia with other places. The people who are based in Ladakh and Arunachal Pradesh were able to see the rare once in a year astronomical phenomenon. The solar eclipse was visible from 12.25, as per the map published by NASA.
The annular solar eclipse happened when the moon blocked the sunlight and cast a shadow over Earth. The 2021 annular solar eclipse event took place at 01.42 PM (IST) and lasted until 6.41 IST pm IST in most of the areas. The duration of this solar eclipse at Greatest Eclipse was said to be around 3 minutes and 51 seconds.
It was advised that if a person is using a mobile phone to see the solar eclipse, then he or she must use eclipse glasses over the smartphone’s camera lens. While using DSLR it was suggested not to see through the camera’s optical viewfinder and use the LCD screen.
